Getting started
How do I create an account?
Open Percent and tap Sign up. You can use Apple, Google, or email. After signing in you'll set a display name, age, and an optional profile photo.
How do I play a game?
From the Home screen, tap Play. You'll be matched with up to four other players. Each game has three rounds. In each round you answer a yes/no question and then guess what percent of the room said yes. Closer guesses earn more rating.
How long does a game take?
Three to four minutes for a full game.
Sessions and purchases
What's a session?
A session is one full game. You get three free sessions every day, refreshed at midnight your local time. If you want more, you can buy session packs from the in-app store.
I bought sessions but they didn't appear
Sessions are granted by our server after Apple confirms your purchase. If they don't appear within a minute, force-quit and reopen the app — the transaction listener will retry automatically. If they still don't show up after a few minutes, email nadir.aktan@hotmail.com with your Apple receipt and we'll fix it.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your Percent purchase to request one.
Friends and invites
How do I add friends?
Tap the friends icon on the Home screen, then search by display name. Send a request and they'll see it the next time they open Percent.
How do invites work?
From the Home screen, tap Invite, choose a friend, and we'll create a private room. They'll get a notification and can join straight from the friends list. The room waits for them before starting.
I sent an invite but my friend can't join
Make sure your friend has accepted your friend request first. If they have and the invite still isn't showing for them, ask them to pull-to-refresh on the Home screen. Invites expire after a few minutes if not accepted.
Ratings and ranks
How is my rating calculated?
Percent uses an ELO-style system. You gain rating by predicting closer to the actual room percentage than the average of your room. Beating higher-rated players earns more. Finishing first three games in a row triggers a streak multiplier.
What are the ranks?
Stranger (under 1000), Observer (1000–1199), Intuitor (1200–1399), Visionary (1400–1599), and Mind Reader (1600+).
I lost rating after a great game
Rating depends on how you do relative to your room — not on raw accuracy. If everyone else nailed the question better than you did, your rating can drop even with a decent guess. Read the room better than the room reads itself.
Account and privacy
How do I change my display name or photo?
Tap your profile in the top-right of the Home screen, then Edit Profile.
Are my answers visible to other players?
No. Only the room totals are revealed. Your individual answers are private.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings inside the app and tap Delete Account, or use our delete account page.
Troubleshooting
The app is stuck in matchmaking
Pull down to refresh the Home screen, or close and reopen the app. The matchmaker periodically retries; if the queue is empty in your region you may be matched with bots after a short wait.
I got disconnected mid-game
The room continues without you. Reopen Percent and it'll take you back into the game if it's still in progress. If the game finished while you were gone, you'll see the result on your home screen.
Push notifications aren't working
Check that notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Percent. If they are and you're still not getting them, sign out and back in to refresh your notification token.
